Hi! I’m Christine, a life-long military supporter…daughter of a career Sailor, veteran of the Navy, and now the spouse of a Navy fighter guy. I’ve had some sort of military ID in my wallet for all but about 3 years of my life, and I bleed red, white and blue.
I write this to share experiences that can hopefully benefit others and possibly save someone else some heartache or stress, and also to enlighten and possibly amuse readers with shared experiences. My goal is to always be honest, authentic and hopefully meaningful, while possibly sprinkling in a little humor. I will be blunt and want to share the non-PC version of things…things you don’t learn at meetings, briefs or get-to-know-you socials. I am not that person who posts about her “perfect” life on Facebook. I am a real, flawed and slightly high strung female who almost always has something to say! Haha. And I know myself!!
My perspective is from a military background, as my husband is in the Navy. We have 4 kids, 2 older ones I call the Bigs, and two younger ones I call the Littles. We’ve been married almost 15 years and have been together 18 years. The number of military moves and deployments we’ve weathered has started to blur…I guess at one point you just stop counting because it gets a little overwhelming. We’ve lived together in Virginia, California (3 times), Rhode Island, Nebraska and Japan.
Please, grab a glass of vino or a mug of your favorite coffee, and sit down for a few minutes to share in the delights and yes, sometimes miseries, of this wild ride. And please subscribe, so you can laugh at me as I pick myself up off the floor again and again!!
